Bob’s career in finance began over 50 years ago with Merrill Lynch in their Chicago Board of Trade Clearing Office. He spent his first 10 years in supervisory and management positions in the stock and bond clearing areas as well as on the floors of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. From there he stepped out on his own to trade commodity futures and options in the Chicago Board of Trade’s Financial Futures trading pits as a “local trader”.
After approximately 20 years at the exchanges, Bob made the transition to becoming a financial advisor in 1991 with Dean Witter in Oak Brook, Illinois. In 1998, Bob transitioned his practice to Raymond James and opened his own independent branch office. It has always been Bob’s mission to understand what is truly important to each client to create a personalized plan that is tailored to their specific goals and needs. By joining SAGE, Bob has ensured that his work remains both client-centered and fully aligned with tax and social security rules.
